The study reveals that 85% of the Mozambican population buys second-hand clothing, making Mozambique the second largest importer of second-hand clothes in the SADC region after Tanzania. The trade in second-hand clothes ensures jobs for over 200,000 people, sustains more than 1 million livelihoods, and generates millions of dollars in taxes for Mozambique.
